U.S. Forces Must Prepare to Be ‘Hunted’ by Autonomous Drones, Top General Says
U.S. forces must assume they will be hunted by autonomous systems, jammed across the electromagnetic spectrum and tracked in real time, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine said as he urged the military to prepare for AI-driven warfare.
Caine cited AI-enabled unmanned systems used in a rescue near Oman as examples of emerging capabilities. He also called for faster military-industry cooperation, shorter acquisition timelines, lower costs and combat-ready systems. More

The Coast Guard and FBI are investigating suspected cyberattacks on two U.S.-bound tankers. The agencies did not provide details but said there were no reports of operational disruptions, danger to crews or environmental impacts. The investigation follows Iranian media reports that tanker VL Prosperity lost communications for 30 hours while transiting the Strait of Gibraltar. More
