The SOFX Report is a daily brief covering the most significant stories in conflict, security, and technology affecting our lives and businesses. Published every day by the team at SOFX Media, it reaches over 70,000 readers around the world.

We founded SOFX in 2014 as a daily reader for the special operations community. Over the past decade, with the support of that community, we evolved through many iterations of coverage, some right, some wrong, until we arrived at SOFX Pro.

What started as a niche email for SOF professionals now serves a much wider audience: service members across branches, aerospace and defense industry professionals, intelligence and policy analysts, and intentional readers who want reliable, apolitical reporting on the issues that affect all of us.

That growth was built entirely on reader trust, and we don't take it lightly.

Noah Schmidt

Noah Schmidt is the Director of Media Operations at SOFX and lead editor of TEARLINE. He has led the daily production of the newsletter for nearly five years, ensuring uninterrupted publication for our audience of over 70,000 readers.

Dino Garner

Dino Garner is a Senior Contributor to SOFX. He served in the 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, and went on to found two international private security firms, conducting over 220 missions across three continents and 30+ counter-poaching operations in southern Africa. He trained as a biophysicist at USC, Duke Medical Center, and Scripps on NSF and NIH fellowships. He is the founder of CRUCIBEL LLC and writes on defense and government policy at CrucibelJournal.com.

Erik Kramer

Erik Kramer is a Senior Contributor at SOFX, Senior Fellow with the National Center for Urban Operations and co-founder of the Ukraine Defense Support Group. Kramer has over 33 years of military and government service, including his time as a Special Forces officer, and has been in Ukraine since 2022 advising the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
