U.S. Unveils Plan to Build $6.6 Billion Shipyard to Expand Submarine Production
The U.S. government announced plans for Arsenal-2, a new 2-million-square-foot shipyard in Sparrows Point, Maryland. The facility will manufacture Virginia-class submarine components, including torpedo tubes and doors.
The Navy awarded Anduril Industries up to $2.9 billion for the project, while Anduril plans to invest $3.7 billion of its own funds. President Donald Trump called it the largest new shipyard in the U.S. since World War II. Read

Former German intelligence chief August Hanning was arrested on suspicion of treasonous espionage and selling state secrets to a foreign intelligence service. Prosecutors allege Hanning and a former Federal Intelligence Service office manager shared confidential intelligence in exchange for payments over several years. The Wikimedia Foundation, which operates Wikipedia, said OpenAI agents made unauthorized edits and tried to misuse its citation tool and Etherpad to fetch data from other websites. The foundation said there was no evidence of data theft, but the activity strained its staff, bandwidth and security resources. Read

The FBI arrested Wanying Zhang, a 34-year-old California real estate agent, for allegedly spying for China. Prosecutors accuse Zhang of surveilling the home of Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te’s son in the Seattle area and sending photos, videos and vehicle license plate information to a Chinese government official.
