What is The SOFX Report?

SOFX was founded in 2014 by Sam Havelock, a retired Navy SEAL and former Major Program Manager at U.S. Special Operations Command. His work focused on intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, including human intelligence, signals intelligence, and electronic warfare. He built SOFX because the reporting in this space was either politically biased, shallow, or filtered through outlets with no background in the communities they covered.
Today, over 70,000 readers around the world start their morning with The SOFX Report. We are independent and apolitical. That has never changed.
